Location: Stratford-upon-Avon
Pay Rate: £14.40 per hour
Hours: Flexible ad hoc hours available (typically 9:00am–3:30pm or half days 9:00am–12:30pm / 12:00pm–3:30pm)

 

Smart Education is currently recruiting for Bank Staff Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming and supportive special school in Stratford-upon-Avon. The school caters for children and young people aged 3–19 with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Job Requirements:

  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)

  • Minimum of 6 months’ experience working in a UK school

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEND

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Positive, patient and adaptable approach

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils in their learning and daily routines

  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff

  • Help create a positive and engaging classroom environment

  • Assist with personal care and sensory or physical needs when required

  • Encourage independence, resilience and confidence in every child
